This collection is named after Tarrytown, the city in New York, which is famous for the wealthy families living in it, as well as historic events related to Tarrytown or happening exactly there.

The Tarrytown is a feminine collection with all of the bags wearing a long to mid sized handle, which makes them stand out from the other Kate Spade bags right away.

The best three (in my opinion) from this collection is as follows:

1) The Kate Spade Tarrytown Samson Tote.

An elegant KS bag with a minimalistic style and functionality. The bag is highly functional and luxurious, an overall great bag with charming lining that makes it stand out from the crowd. The Samson Tote is made from tumbled boarskin and the look of the leather is further implied with 14-karat gold pieces and hardware.

An overall modern bag with a wide set of features. A pick for modern girls. It’s quite small, measuring 7.75 x 11 x 5.75″ and it has 9″ double-stitched leather drops.

2) The Kate Spade Tarrytown Quinn hand-held tote.

A nicely textured pebbled-leather bag, with a feisty attitude Lightly textured leather structures a boxy tote that’s with a convenient style. The bag has a center zip divider which will keep your belongings safe at all times. The bag measures in at 9.4″ x 11.5″ x 4.5″ and comes with 14-karat gold-plated hardware, twill lining, an open top and a center zip divider.

3) The Kate Spade Tarrytown Mini Maeda Satchel.

The Mini Maeda is a nice Satchel which will suit all your needs. It looks smart and lovely, the witty form of it accounts for it. The yellow version is a traditional variation of a classic bag with a lot of interesting details like contrast stitches; quality boar skin leather and a nice collection of colors. This interesting bag retails for around $320 and is a nice choice for everyday use. The bag has gold plated hardware and comes with double handles. Although yellow is obviously not a hip color for fall, something brown will fit the upcoming autumn easily.

We’ll try to look at three bags from the collection under a microscope. To start off, let’s discuss the Belle Meade Quinn.

This fine tote represents the values of Kate Spade – practical, fashionable and with a functional design. The simple design is such only from a distance – after taking a look at it, you’ll change your mind quickly. The tote sets itself apart from other totes via the help of the contrasting design, accented by vertical stripes and silver hardware that shines from the handles. It retails for around $350 and its functionality and unique design makes it a fine choice from the Quinn collection. Its parameters are as follows : 13″ x 9″ x 5″, double handles with 7″ drop and a fine zipper on the top. Although it has the form of a briefcase, it doesn’t look like one and will suit most of your needs.

Next off is the London Quinn – the pink, girly exuberant looking bag. Its beautiful in its simplicity – made from shiny cowhide, with a nice open top and the handle drop of the London Quinn is 6.6″, making it easy to use on shoulders. This bag goes with everything – be it a white blouse, red skirts, jeans or even a suit, it works with it. You can take it to a business meeting and not be ashamed of it, since it possesses the beaty of Kate Spade – classic yet modern designs that show character but one that’s still somewhat sharp around the edges.

And the third bag from the collection is the Tarrytown Quinn. It comes in green and reminds you of something much like freshly mowed grass. Although it’s somewhat season-oriented (spring or summer), it’s still a nice choice for winter, as it stands out easily and can be matched with an anorak of choice, brightly colored boots and so forth. The main Tarrytown Quinn’s differences from London are the slightly altered handle drop length and has a gold floating signature instead of an embossed signature that’s present in the London. The Tarrytown Quinn is a short shoulder tote; it’s made from boarskin and has a custom woven jacquard and retails for as low as $350.

Overall, the Quinn collection is a fine choice for any bag lover; you just have to browse through them all and find the perfect match for you. Counterfeiting is highly unlikely for these bags as they don’t tend to cost that much, but still, take your time and be cautious – you don’t want a bag that wears out after two weeks!

The bag is 13.5″ x 11″ x 3″ and has a single shoulder strap with an 8″ drop. The cowhide bag is available in caramel and green (now that explains why the bag hasn’t got any whimsy shots in it), but it still screams for some hardware to lighten the bag up a little bit, to make it less serious and more appealing. Although there’s no hardware, the stitched top accounts for that… well, almost. The main thing that’s clumsy in this bag is the lack of anything unique – although the bag will suit anything ordinary, ‘ordinary’ is not what Kate Spade is about, isn’t it? Guess not.

Why should you choose a bag that has so many cons? It isn’t hard to answer, really. The cowhide orange tone is utterly unique – you won’t see anything like it on any other bag. Although many tend to categorize this bag as a ‘weirdo’ and an ‘artifact’, there’s more to that than meets the eye. This bag can easily beat any other designer bag if you like the color, and if you prefer Kate Spade instead of others, the dynamic pattern will convince you to get it ASAP. This Paige has a zip pocket and an extra side pocket which finishes the look swiftly.

Overall, although this bag could be too serious for the Kate Spade fans, it hasn’t lost the amusing pattern that’s present in the Kate Spade bags via the help of bright printed lining that the regulars of Kate Spade will surely love. This hobo, an artifact altogether, is an interesting match up between style and fashion, but is still too serious for everyday use. Casual clothes and work outfits suit this bag the most, and if you like to stand out from the crowd, the green tone on your Paige will surely help you do that. Furthermore, it retails at only around $350 so if you get bored with it, just sell it!

Although it seriously lacks additional hardware, the bag is an overall nice hobo, maybe just a little bit too casual for Kate Spade.
