The modern Epi Leather collection suits these times more than anything else LV has ever produced. Seriously. Most of the bags look discrete with a unique touch of reservedness and style. With the solid lining they offer, they’ll always look modern, no matter what you wear besides the bag.
The obvious leader of this collection is the Passy, although the white model doesn’t catch your eye at first, it’s also look if ivory fits your style, but the other colors (black and cassis) should be your primary choice.
The bag is quite sizable and, if LV’s homepage doesn’t lie, it can hold a laptop in it easily. It’s 14.9″ x 11.8″ x 5.1″ so that shouldn’t be a problem. Furthermore, the clever design actually makes it look like an average sized bag, although it’s more in the average-large category.
Inside the bag there are two compartments, separated by a central zip-able pocket; an inside patch pocket and a cell phone pocket. It can be carried on the shoulder and is quite the ergonomic bag. Passy is the name of a famous shopping street in Paris, and this bag certainly suits the modern woman who has a lust for shopping.
The other bags from the collection are casual, certainly not playful and are all proud bearers of the Epi Leather. The texture of the bags will keep your fingers busy for an hour at first, but the aforementioned leather will ensure you about the bags’ longevity. Other handbags to keep your eyes on from the collection are the Musette Bagatelle which will be discussed later on, the the Bagatelle PM and the Madeleine GM, all of which follow this line’s type – Epi Leather and an elegant look, that’s both casual but displays character.
Another elegant bag from the Epi Leather collection is the Musette Bagatelle, a confident bag with an elegant touch but certainly meant for casual use as it’s available only in black. The cross-body carry makes wearing it a pleasure not only for your (and other’s) eyes, but also makes the Bagatelle posess elegant traits. The bag is middle sized and lightweight, which makes wearing it a pleasure rather than a chore. It can be bought for a little less than $1000 and it’s certainly affordable in terms of Louis Vuitton. The leather wears a discreet (but noticeable) LV initial stamp, has smooth leather trimmings and nice-to-touch textile lining. Although not necessarily a bag that’ll get you noticed, it’s certainly a great wear and one of the Epi Leather’s finest.
