Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore

The Monogram Multicolore line was introduced in Spring 2003. It was created by the Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami, together with LV’s Marc Jacobs. The six handbags are full of vivid, almost seizure-inducing colors that make the bags somewhat girly, witty and feminine, but as it’s always with LV, the bags being girly is both true and… untrue.
They look stylish, stand out from the others and certainly are a fine creation of LV. The new canvas is a pallet of 33 colors, the usual LV’s symbols, nine of which are proud LV’s Monograms. The handbags from this line are a virtue not everyone can afford… The cheapest bag from the collection costs sixteen hundred; the line’s been a subject to various replica since it was created and it’s never easy to spot a ripoff – be careful when you’re buying one of these.
The bags are elegant, maybe the Ursula bag, named by the famous actress Ursula Andress, is a top-pick but there are no certain ‘best handbags’ in this collection. They’re meant for everybody who likes one of them, and everybody who can afford them. The Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore bags tend to have a wide opening, most of the models have adjustable straps, thus making them great for casual use.
The Monogram Multicolore Greta is an interesting model. Its round body would make anyone look like they’re from the big city. Furthermore, the rich and refined details which would usually make the bag look stuffed, suit this one great. The Greta is also a practical, ergonomic choice, as it has a wide zip, an interior D-ring inside, and an adjustable shoulder strap, together with the possibility to add an extra one for cross-shoulder use.
Other handbags include the extrovert (even more distinctive than the others, probably because of the large handle) Multicolor Boulogne; the slightly bigger Multicolor Theda GM which looks can hold a lot of stuff, but is somewhat unique because of the threads attached to the zipper and the unique golden lock; and last but not least, the Multicolor Sologne, a handbag with an unique handle that’s not only distinctive but offers a lot of functionality – the handle is adjustable and has nine holes. This line is certainly not a disappointment in any terms and offers a bright, unique collection that’s both fashionable and enjoyable to wear. The Monogram Multicolore might come off as a glitch in the long term history of LV, but the collection’s nice and simple. I like it.
